RICHARD J. ALLI, JR. is the Bullard Law labor practice group leader with more than forty years of experience in traditional labor. Businesses nationwide seek out Ric for his skill and knowledge of labor law. Ric has bargained over 600 collective bargaining agreements in virtually every industry with unionized employees, including marine transportation. Although Ric always prefers negotiations to yield a labor agreement, he knows this is impossible. When a labor dispute is unavoidable, Ric is well-versed in dealing with the complex practical and legal challenges that arise and has handled more than 40 strikes and lockouts all over the US.
In addition to bargaining, Ric represents clients before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in unfair labor practice cases, representation cases, Section 10(j) and 10(j) cases, joint- and single-employer issues, and all other matters subject to the NLRB’s jurisdiction. Ric provides clients with clear, practical advice on even the most complex labor issues, such as responding to early signs of union organizing, subcontracting bargaining unit work, successorship, strikes and picketing, workplace policies, union access, and contract interpretation.
Relationships based on integrity, consistency, and dependability are the foundation of Ric’s practice. Ric is committed to truly understanding his clients and their businesses to help them achieve long-term success. An experienced and dedicated problem-solver, Ric works hard to find the right answer even when a resolution seems impossible.
While as an undergraduate at the University of Oregon, Ric worked for a labor-management relations firm in Salem, where he discovered labor and employment law. Upon graduation from law school, Ric began working with his mentor, Garry Bullard.
