Ashley Heaney has practiced criminal law for over fifteen years in Minnesota, New York, and Connecticut. Before joining Caplan Tamburino, Ashley served as a public defender in Ramsey County, MN, defending clients facing serious felony charges. Ashley’s extensive litigation experience also includes ten years as an associate attorney for a private criminal defense firm in New York City, as well as clerkships with District Attorney offices in New York and Minnesota. Ashley has handled a wide range of cases, from simple harassment cases to felony drug cases, sex crimes, and murder cases. With extensive experience in both prosecution and criminal defense, Ashley provides a unique perspective as she works hard to find personalized and creative solutions for each client. Ashley Heaney graduated cum laude from Villanova University in Pennsylvania with a concentration in Criminal Justice. She went on to graduate cum laude from Quinnipiac University Law School in Connecticut. She received numerous honors in her studies, including the Highest Achievement Awards for Legal Writing and Research, as well as the Trial Practice Awards. Ashley is admitted to practice in Minnesota State and Federal Courts. She is also admitted in New York and Connecticut.
