Santana Caballero

Santana Caballero Born and raised in the working town of Anaconda, Montana, Santana attended the University of Montana and earned a B.A. in History with a minor in Political Science. She studied abroad in Italy, moved to Los Angeles, volunteered at Northridge earthquake sites, and worked for the Social Security Administration before attending the University of Montana School of Law. During law school, Santana worked for various law offices, volunteered, and focused on effective communication through her mediation clinical. Santana has mediated tribal issues, property damage, and injury disputes.

Santana has practiced law for over 13 years and brings to the table a strong Montana work ethic and common sense while maintaining result-orientated relationships with insurance carriers and opposing counsel. She strongly believes in giving back and donates considerable time, contributions, and energy to community fundraisers. Santana also contributes pro bono work to adopting families.

The bulk of Santana’s caseload involves successfully representing injured clients and families who have lost a loved one due to the negligence of others. While most of Santana’s practice involves handling medical malpractice, insurance disputes, car accident cases, and wrongful death claims, she has been a strong leader and proponent of protecting Montana citizens. As a proponent of consumer rights, she has successfully handled class action litigation against insurance companies and challenged credit card mandatory arbitration clauses before the Montana Supreme Court. While representing clients in employment discrimination cases, she successfully petitioned the E.E.O.C. to bring an action on behalf of a wrongfully discharged employee after the E.E.O.C. had been absent from Montana cases for a considerable time.

Santana is admitted to practice in Montana Administrative matters, Montana City Courts, Montana Justice Courts, Montana District Courts, Montana Federal District Courts, and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Santana has three adopted children. When she is not in court or at the office, she spends most of her free time with her daughter, volunteering, running, traveling, and attending her daughter’s volleyball games.
